Labor Update: A Special Message to Our Community
To Our Community,
You should know that the main focus of our negotiations with the union representing our nurses and allied-health professionals has been on wages and benefits. In fact, Temple nurses are paid among the highest rates in the region with an average hourly rate of over $39 – and that's without overtime, shift differential, or on-call pay.
Temple's final offer, which we asked the union leadership to share with its members, includes a wage and benefits package that is fair, reasonable, and competitive with other hospitals in the area.
We at Temple University Hospital value all our employees, which is why we will continue to offer competitive wages and benefits.
To our patients, we promise uninterrupted, quality care.
Please check tuh.templehealth.org for important updates on Temple University Hospital’s continued commitment to the community.
If you need us, we're here, as always. You're our patients. We're your hospital.
Sincerely,

Sandy Gomberg, RN, MSN
Interim CEO, Temple University Hospital
